Disclaimer
Powerhaus provides performance calibration and mechanical upgrade services based on the information you supply and the condition of your vehicle at the time of inspection. While every job is carried out with care, all work is undertaken at the customer’s own risk.
Mechanical & Electrical Failures
Vehicle components can fail in standard form just as they can after tuning. Increasing load, boost, torque or thermal demand may expose weak or worn parts. Powerhaus does not accept liability for failures of any mechanical or electrical components including, but not limited to: turbos, injectors, clutches, engines, gearboxes, DPF/GPF systems, EGR valves, sensors, boost pipes, cooling systems or wiring faults.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the vehicle is in good mechanical health before any tuning or upgrade work is carried out.
Pre‑Service Diagnostics
We perform a diagnostic scan before any tuning work. If faults are present, the customer will be informed. It is the customer’s decision whether to proceed or repair the issues first. Powerhaus is not responsible for existing, hidden or intermittent faults that appear before, during or after tuning.
We may request a test drive (or accompany the customer on one) to confirm the vehicle is operating correctly. This is included in the service.
Refusal of service
Powerhaus reserves the right to refuse service where the vehicle is unsafe, illegally modified, or where customer behaviour or requests raise safety or legal concerns.
Third‑Party Hardware
If your vehicle has modifications installed elsewhere, or you supply your own parts, Powerhaus does not guarantee performance, reliability or compatibility. Any failures arising from such components are the customer’s responsibility. We are not liable for failures caused by incorrect installation, unsuitable hardware, poor‑quality components or unsafe setups.
If re‑fitting or correcting third‑party hardware is required, this will incur additional cost with the customer’s approval.
Customer Responsibilities
- You accept that all quoted power/torque gains are approximate and vary between vehicles.
- You accept that fuel economy changes depend on driving style, conditions, maintenance and vehicle condition.
- You accept responsibility for informing your insurance provider of any modifications.
- You acknowledge that tuning may void manufacturer warranties.
- You accept that Powerhaus will not test vehicles above legal speed limits.
- You accept that any emissions‑related modifications (DPF/GPF/EGR delete, decat, etc.) are for off‑road/track use only.
- You agree to recover or trailer the vehicle away from our premises if it is fitted with non‑road‑legal hardware.
- You accept that Powerhaus is not liable for electrical or mechanical issues that occur before, during or after tuning.
- You agree to allow Powerhaus the opportunity to inspect or diagnose any issues before involving third‑party garages.
- You accept full responsibility and liability for any fines, penalties, legal action or enforcement consequences arising from non‑road‑legal modifications such as decats, DPF/GPF removal, EGR disablement or any other emissions‑related changes. You acknowledge that these modifications are for off‑road/track use only and that Powerhaus holds no responsibility for how the vehicle is used once it leaves our premises.
- You give Powerhaus permission to road‑test your vehicle for diagnostic, calibration and data‑logging purposes. You acknowledge that all road testing is carried out within legal speed limits and normal driving conditions. Powerhaus accepts no liability for pre‑existing faults that become apparent during testing, or for issues that arise due to the vehicle’s condition.
- You accept that Powerhaus is not liable for issues arising from undisclosed faults, previous tuning, hidden modifications or inaccurate information provided by the customer.
Illegal Modifications & Road Use
Any modification that renders a vehicle unroadworthy or non‑compliant with MOT, emissions or insurance regulations is the customer’s full responsibility. Powerhaus accepts no liability for fines, penalties, enforcement action or insurance consequences arising from such modifications.
Vehicles with non‑road‑legal parts must be recovered or trailered from our premises.
Powerhaus is not responsible for damage caused by aggressive driving, misuse, racing, lack of maintenance or operation outside normal conditions.
Faulty Vehicles
If your vehicle develops a fault after tuning and the issue is not directly caused by the calibration work, no refund will be issued. We can return the vehicle to stock at no charge, but the service fee is non‑refundable.
If the vehicle is repaired and you wish to reinstall the tune, we may charge a small fee depending on the time required.
Vehicle Ownership
By using our services, you confirm you are the legal owner of the vehicle or have full written permission from the owner. Powerhaus is not liable for disputes regarding ownership or authorisation.
Refunds & Warranty
Powerhaus provides a limited warranty that the calibration file supplied is safe, within reasonable operating limits and not intentionally over‑tuned. This warranty covers the file only, not the vehicle or its components. Proof of purchase is required. This warranty is non‑transferable between vehicles or owners.
We do not cover loss of earnings, recovery costs, third‑party diagnostic fees or repair bills unless agreed in writing beforehand.
Lifetime File Warranty
Powerhaus provides a lifetime warranty on the calibration file supplied for your vehicle. This warranty covers minor adjustments or revisions to the existing file where no hardware changes have been made. This warranty does not cover retuning required due to new hardware, mechanical repairs, fuel changes, or modifications that alter the vehicle’s airflow, fuelling or boost requirements.
This warranty applies only to the original vehicle and the original purchaser. It is non‑transferable and does not include labour time for diagnostics, fault‑finding or reinstallation where additional work is required.
